Say hello to music’s own bad guy, Kanye West

There’s no doubt that you either love Kanye West or you don’t. There’s no middle road and there’s certainly no fence riding when you talk about the egotistical musical genius most notably known as Kanye West.

Aside from Kanye having jerk tendencies and bratty moments, no one can say that Kanye West isn’t an honest human being whose passion is often perceived as pure self-righteousness.

After his MTV VMA fiasco with Taylor Swift hit millions of televisions across the nation, Kanye was instantly the biggest “jackass” in the entertainment world.

In a moment to big up Beyonce, Kanye tore down Taylor and America was not happy. What Kanye did to Taylor Swift was undoubtedly rude, insensitive, and quite frankly f*cked up, but with that said, he’s not the worst person on the planet.

Kanye may not be the most selfless person on the planet, but Kanye is a human being. He lives on the same earth everyone else does. He cries the same tears everyone else does. He breathes the same air everyone else does, and he has feelings like everyone else does.

In his moment of drunkeness and honesty, Kanye stole a moment away from a musical peer, which wasn’t right, but it certainly shouldn’t launch him into the stratosphere of d*ck head exile, at least not forever.

This past weekend, Kanye went on another one of his “honesty by Kanye West” rants while on stage at the Big Chill Music Festival.

As he compared himself to being treated like a modern day Hilter, the crowd began to boo, but Kanye may have a point.

“I walk through the hotel and I walk down the street, and people look at me like I’m fucking insane, like I’m Hitler. One day the light will shine through and one day people will understand everything I ever did.”

Some people may say that Kanye doesn’t know when to shut up, and maybe he doesn’t, but how can we dismiss how he feels?

After Kanye stole Taylor Swift’s shine at the VMA’s he certainly didn’t gain more fans, and maybe he lost a few, but after years of receiving hate messages and facing public scrutiny, we can’t be mad at Kanye’s rants.

Kanye happens to be an uber-talented and extremely gifted musical genius, who suffers from character flaws like the rest of us. But unlike the rest of us, we aren’t crucified for every f*cked up stupid thing we say. He is.

So maybe if fans and critics walked a day in Kanye’s Louis Vuitton loafers, we’d understand the stares and the disses, we’d understand the blog bashes, and we’d be able to read all the hate mail people take the time out to write him personally.

Kanye is feeling unloved. Can we love him? Can the music fans and critics put the ill-will aside to show Kanye that he isn’t Hitler?

At the end of the day, GlobalGrind doesn’t think Kanye is a bad person and we certainly don’t think he means any harm by his self-indulgent rants.

Kanye West is a classic case of “it’s me against the world.” Simply a man who’s misunderstood, but after everything is said and done, everything Kanye isn’t, makes Kanye everything he is.

A f*cking musical genius.
