Kanye West has never been the type to hold his tongue and this weekend was no different.

Kanye performed at the Big Chill Music Festival in Herefordshire, London this weekend and he couldn’t leave without giving the crowd a piece of his mind.

Kanye went on a rant about the lack of appreciation the media has for him and his music.

“I walk through the hotel and I walk down the street, and people look at me like I’m insane, like I’m Hitler,” he said. “One day the light will shine through and one day people will understand everything I ever did. Michael Jordan changed so much in basketball, he took his power to make a difference. It’s so much going on in music right now and somebody has to make a difference.”

Kanye also apologized to the crowd for showing up a half an hour late and for his hoarse voice.

“I’m sorry I lost my voice earlier and I’m sorry to be starting a little bit late. The same reason, trying to get to the show right to give y’all the best show possible. Trying to get everything perfect but y’all know I’m a perfectionist. The media trying to spin it in such a way, like I’m a monster because what they try to do is catch the photograph of me screaming, right? They say look at Kanye screaming, look at him running on stage, look at all this, right? But they don’t realise it’s to make a better product for y’all. It’s to make everything fair for y’all.”

Kanye West has become a media target ever since his outburst at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards when he interrupted Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech.

With his new album Watch The Throne dropping last night, Kanye shouldn’t have any problem silencing the critics.
