Dave Chappelle gave his first interview in five years and he’s setting the record straight about his alleged breakdown during a recent performance at a Seminole casino in Florida.
It was reported that Dave stopped his stand up bit to check his text messages, was counting the time until he was going off stage and simply seemed out of it.

Dave is now talking about the incident. The comedian said he felt like they were trying to catch him in a reverse ‘Kramer incident’ and that the front rows were heckling him.
He continued saying, “I can hear and see everything [in the front row,]” he said. “You can’t possibly expect me to do a show right now … there’s got to be a little bit of cooperation.”
