Chaz Bono has come under media scrutiny ever since becoming a new cast member on the latest season of Dancing with the Stars.
“I really haven’t been paying that much attention to it,” he said on Good Morning America earlier this morning.

Chaz is the first transgender person to ever compete on the show and many petitioners have an issue with his placement on what they believe is a “family show.”
Many of these negative responses come from those who think children and younger audiences will be confused about Cher’s son’s gender and his partnering with a woman.
Chaz continued to say, “I think it’s a much bigger deal to everybody else than it is to me.”
Conrad Green, executive producer of Dancing with the Stars says, “Chaz is a great guy with a very interesting story.”
