Nicki Minaj stunned the fashion world and the music industry when she practically rubbed shoulders with fashion icon and editor-in-chief of American Vogue Anna Wintour.

For those of you who are unaware of Anna Wintour’s status, well, she’s pretty up there in American and British culture.

A revered and poised woman of culture and fashion, Anna Wintour is a boss b*tch who reigns as the supreme leader of fashion.

Basically, Anna Wintour runs the world.

And with Nicki Minaj sitting by her side, it only means that Nicki’s status as a colorful flamboyant rapper from Queens will only explode into something way bigger than hanging out with Lil Wayne and her Young Money homies.

Nicki’s been hanging with Giuseppe Zanotti, and Betsey Johnson, not to mention she expanded her fan base by thousands when she went on tour with pop icon Britney Spears

Lately, Nicki Minaj has been exploring a world outside of hip-hop and she’s proven that she’s more than just a rapper.

I started thinking about it and I realized that Nicki Minaj doesn’t need Young Money anymore.

Nicki Minaj is bigger than Young Money.

Nicki Minaj can hold her own without the co-sign of Lil Wayne or the name drops from Drake.

Nicki can hold her own.

She already has a solid fan base of crazy young girls who are extremely loyal, and now she’s captured the attention of Hollywood and the fashion world.

I’m not saying Nicki should bail on her Young Money family, but if Nicki Minaj ever made the decision to move on from Young Money, I think she’d be just fine.

At the end of the day, Nicki Minaj is an extremely marketable hip-pop artist who has the ability to cross genres and industries.

Nicki Minaj’s “moment for life” came when she signed with Young Money, but the biggest moment in her life will be when she moves on from Young Money.
