Clarence Thomas, the Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States, is faced with a monumental moment as he holds the fate of death row inmate Troy Davis in his hands.

The Georgia native has a responsibility to do the right thing and grant a stay of execution for Davis.

In 1991 Justice Thomas was accused of sexual harassment by Anita Hill, an attorney who had worked for him at the Department of Education.
During his Supreme Court confirmation hearings Hill testified that Thomas had made sexual comments towards her saying it was “behavior that is unbefitting an individual who will be a member of the Court.”
Thomas denied all the allegations stating:
“This is not an opportunity to talk about difficult matters privately or in a closed environment. This is a circus. It’s a national disgrace.
And from my standpoint, as a black American, it is a high-tech lynching for uppity blacks who in any way deign to think for themselves, to do for themselves, to have different ideas, and it is a message that unless you kowtow to an old order, this is what will happen to you.
You will be lynched, destroyed, caricatured by a committee of the U.S. Senate rather than hung from a tree.”
We are asking you Justice Thomas to spare the life of a fellow “Black American.” The African American communities haven’t forgotten; this is your moment of redemption in the black community.
You succeeded Justice Thurgood Marshal, a hero of civil rights. Do the right thing and let Troy Davis live to see another day.
