GlobalGrind caught up with Independent TV producer and director Andre Cole a few weeks ago and he dropped some science behind his first novel, The Unholy Servants.

The Syracuse University graduate, who was raised in Queens, New York, but who now lives in New Jersey with his wife and daughters, tells us the score in his own words!

EXCLUSIVE: Seminal Graphic Designer & Creative Director Cey Adams On The Massive Def Jam Coffee Table Book!

Andre Cole: The Unholy Servants is about two scientists who were hired by a multi-million dollar conglomerate to watch a guy who was a witness to a failed military operation in Manhattan. He’s in a coma, and when he wakes up, they realize that he is a lot more than everybody says he is. It’s a mystery, it’s suspenseful. That’s the gist of it.

Andre: Sci-fi and fantasy is growing in the Black community, but it’s still one of those things that we aren’t known to do. The Unholy Servants isn’t an urban book and books that have a Black person on the cover, people automatically think they know what the book is about.

Especially with this book, people look at the cover and think it’s something totally different. They start reading it and say “I totally thought it was something else!” I showed Swizz Beatz the book and when I told him what it was about, he was like “Really?” He thought it was something totally different.

The Unholy Servants is available for purchase for the Kindle here!
