Florence, Italy captured the spotlight last night as the Gucci Museum opened its doors in the romantic Italian city of its birth, shifting attention away from Milan on the last day of Fashion Week.

The museum saw editors, tourists and celebrities at its opening, which featured a black carpet lit by ivory candles. Among the attendees were Deborah Harry, who looked amazing as a platinum blonde, Anna Wintour, Franca Sozzani, Emily Browning and dozens of fashion luminaries. 

The museum will open its doors today to the public and its archives, detailing a 90 year history, will make up the exhibitions.
