Karl Lagerfeld took off the gloves, rolled up those sleeves and went to work!

It seems the fashion mogul had been too busy producing kick ass runway shows for Chanel and shooting Elizabeth Olsen for coffee table books to concentrate on putting out his own lines, but Lagerfeld proved that he doesn’t sleep with the release of his latest news.

The designer is set to drop not one, but two clothing lines in the early parts of 2012 and one of them is an affordable line. The 99 percent rejoices!

Lagerfeld is taking the Marc Jacobs route and releasing Karl, the more affordable line that will hit Net-a-Porter on January 25th. The 100-piece collection sees price tags ranging from $95 to $450 and is described as “rock” and “street,” and is said to have a heaping serving of our favorite things: denim and leather.

The line will feature a new Lagerfeld logo rumored to be his famous pony-tailed silhouette. Lagerfeld is expecting to see almost half of the line’s revenue coming in from the Karl accessories, so we know he must have some great pieces in store.

The masstige line is not distracting Lagerfeld from getting back to his designer collection that he hasn’t shown since September of 2010. The new designer line will be called Karl Lagerfeld Paris and will appropriately début in, you guessed it— Paris! Those prices will linger in the higher numbers, from $411 to $3,425.

We look forward to seeing what Lagerfeld has to show with the new lines. Anything this man touches turns to fashion gold!
