La La Anthony made her way into our hearts and our TV screens with her reality show, La La’s Full Court Life, which airs Monday nights on VH1.
The show’s finale airs tonight and although we’re not ready to let it go from our Monday night routines, we’re excited because it gave us a chance to chop it up with La La to discuss all things Full Court Life, including her lovely hubby Carmelo Anthony, her sidekicks Po and Dice, her decision to discuss her weight on air, her life in NYC and most importantly, motherhood.

After speaking with La La for just a few minutes, it’s easy to tell that her adorable four-year-old son, Kiyan, is the apple of her eye. As La La lives her full court life in NYC, she has no problem bending over backwards just to make him happy, especially today, one of best holidays of the year.

Today is Halloween! What do you have planned?
There are a couple of Halloween parties I want to hit up. I’m still working on my costume but a kitty-kat or a mouse are always the easy go-to costumes when you don’t have anything prepared! There’s a couple of cool Halloween parties coming up, so I’m going to try and get myself together. But for me, Halloween is mainly about my son having a good time and finding the fun kid parties, so he can enjoy himself.
What is Kiyan dressing up as?
First he wanted to be a ninja. We took him to get his costume and then the ninja turned into a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle. So that’s what he’s going to be!
What do you remember about Halloween growing up in Brooklyn?
I just remember our mom taking us to go trick-or-treating. I remember being excited to dress up and going to the community parties they would have and you would get candy and all this stuff. I’m trying to find that cool type of atmosphere and environment for my son. It’s kind of hard to find things in the city for kids to do during Halloween. This being our first Halloween here (in NYC) I’ve been calling everyone I know to just find out what are the cool things kids do in the city for Halloween.
If you could have a superpower, what would it be and why?
(Laughs) Let me think about that…
You know what’s so funny, maybe to just be able to stay awake 24/7, because I have so much to do that I’m always tired and I never find enough time in the day! So, if there was a way to stay awake and not need sleep and still look good and still feel great, that would be it. I want to be able to do more and get more done in a day.
