Good news, bad news. Good news: The Fray just dropped the video for the first single, “Heartbeat,” off of their new album, Scars & Stories.
Bad news: that album doesn’t drop until early next year.

That’s OK though, because the video for the super catchy “Heartbeat” is dope. It features the Colorado-born rockers trading in some of that snow and boots, for sand and flip-flops.

The video, which was shot in Malibu, shows the group performing at a beach in front of a bonfire.
All we have to say is, damn, where was our invite?
Even though the video just seems like a grand ol’ time, the inspiration for the song was quite different.
Lead singer Isaac Slade told MTV that the motivation for the song came from traveling through Rwanda and South Africa and seeing some of the suffering in those areas.
