Billionaire New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg thought he was done with the Occupy Wall Street demonstrators after he booted them out of Zuccotti Park last week, but he got a surprise on Sunday when many of those same protesters popped up in his plush Upper East Side hood.

Yesterday, protesters gathered on 5th Avenue near 79th Street right around the corner from Mayor Bloomberg’s swanky townhouse and began drumming and chanting.

Marian Swerdlow, 62, who lives in the neighborhood, told the New York Daily News:

“Bloomberg made a big mistake kicking the protesters out – now they’re everywhere. It’s going to keep spreading. He’ll see that this movement has support. He has to start treating people with respect.”

Swerdlow carried a sign stamped with three names: Mubarak, Ghadafi, and Bloomberg. The first two, notorious dictators toppled this year, were crossed out.

Will Bloomberg be toppled by the OWS’ers? Their voices haven’t slowed a bit since they were trounced from Zuccotti Park, if anything, the movement has gotten stronger.
