Happy Thanksgiving music lovers, globalgrind muggers and Black Friday early shopping parking lot huggers. Instead of Wal-Mart, why not just search ITunes and Amazon for those early ear treats that are guaranteed to keep that head moving while waiting on that endless line at the cash registar. Thanksgiving week is traditionally a quickie with only 2 work days so its easy to miss anything new before the stores open early Friday. Dope new shit was still at a premium this week. Need proof?

Young Jeezy leaked his first official single ‘I Do’ which features the lyrical royalty of Jay Z and Andre 3000. This song “I Do” is not your average 2 word matrimonial jump start to a relationship. Its an ode to an oath and credo that was taken to survive the streets as told Jay and Jeezy. The most intriguing part of this record is Andre 3000’s verse, which is 360 degrees the polar opposite to what Hov and Jeezy are saying. It’s like watching a Lego commercial in the middle of the movie Scarface; kind of awkward but.. OK!

Movado is set to make history in 2012. With his recent signing to Khaled’s We The Best Music imprint, you can pretty much bet that more mainstream music (and I’m sure of few Rick Ross remixes) are soon to come. With the recent legal woes of Vybez Kartel, Movado should easily become the next giant in the dancehall world. This new track featuring Akon titled “Survivor” is just further proof of the forthcoming movement. The star power of producer Jerry Wonda is present on this record. If your not familiar with Jerry Wonda, he is the rhythm behind some of Wyclef Jeans biggest records. Peep…

Since coming home for the 3rd time, T.I. has been comfortably making his rounds through the music scene between, parties, studios and cameos on other artists songs. Up and coming producers Two Band Geeks are the composes behind Tip’s latest single “Pyro.” It’s not the craziest T.I. record that you will hear in the club BUT it’s enough to keep his fans hungry until the album drops next year. All legal problems finally aside, The King or ‘The Kang’ should reclaim his spot in the dirty come 2012.

The Kanye West themed ‘Ain’t No Love’ Chrysler commercials aren’t the only dope looks Michigan is getting nowadays. For the last year and half the MC Jon Conner has been terrorizing the music scene with his onslaught of freestyles and ‘flava’full mixtape. The Flint Michigan MC is perhaps the most talked about artist coming out of the Wolverine State since Big Sean. But his wordplay is witty and grimy similar to fellow Midwesterner Freddie Gibbs. If your not familiar with Conner, peep this latest gem “No Thrillz.”

BlackStar is movement that shouldn’t need any introduction. When Mos and Talib get together on a track the lyricism is similar to Pete and CL, Kiss and Styles P, or Ghost and Rae. Add producer Madlib to the track and you have to potential to rattle the entire hip hop underground scene. With that said, now press play on this new single Fix Up. Ever been to a Kweli / Mos Def show? It’s nothing but hands in the air, heads bobbing to the beat and camera flashes going off.  WARNING: Wordplay, perfect diction and life lessons are included when listening to this masterpiece. Word to my man Dizzy Rascal, Fix Up and Look Sharp. Until we read again…
