One scene in particular contains a graphic scene in which heroine Bella gives birth to her vampire husband Edward’s child.

This scene caused Brandon Gephart, a fan from Sacremento, to go into a seizure! Brandon and his girlfriend Kelly Bauman watched the movie in theatres last Friday, just two days after it was released.

According to CBS13 Kelly said that Brandon began convulsing, snorting and trying to breath during a very graphic birthing scence.

Brandon does not remember anything at all. On other internet movie review sites it has been reported from other viewers that seizures resulted from watching the Twilight film.

This specific scene has flashes of red, white and black. Dr. Michael G. Chez, the medical director of pediatric neurology and epilepsy for Sutter Sacramento spoke on the possible causes saying:

“The reports indicate the scene may be triggering an episode of photosensitive epilepsy. While rare, the condition can be triggered by flashing red lights in people who are genetically predisposed. It’s like a light switch going off, because it hits your brain all at once…”

Movie theaters can be particularly harmful to viewers due to it being very dark. Dr. Chez said that a single seizure should not cause long term damage. If you are a big time Twilight fan and you want to play it safe, Dr. Chez saying buying cheap sunglasses with a blue tint shall due.

As for Brandon, he is being looked after by a specialist. We hope all is well!
