Instead of a half an hour, E!’s Kim and Kourtney Take New York has been rearranged to air for an hour long and most viewers are ecstatic.
The season premiere aired last night, and although America was already aware of the demise of Kim and Kris’ marriage, there were a lot of red flags on last night’s episode of KKTNY that pointed to destruction.
Although Kim did seem very much in love in episode 1 of season 2, licking Kris’ face from his chin all the way to the top of his nose with her morning breath and deeply kissing behind the scenes of Avril Lavigne’s fashion show showcasing her line Abbey Dawn, things did look convincing.
STORY: Why We Can’t Wait For Kim And Kourt Take New York
The premiere opens up to Kim’s beginning stages of her marriage, she is boarding a jet with her husband Kris on their way to New York to move in with her sister Kourtney, boyfriend Scott and baby Mason at a hotel. On the jet, the newlyweds cuddle and kiss. But with America already having premeditated thoughts that the wedding was a sham, their kisses seem empty, while their affection seems rehearsed. Kris gushes that he can’t wait to be Mason’s uncle, but all of that will soon die.
They arrive in New York at the Gansevoort Hotel, a luxurious two‐story suite. Kris learns that Mason’s play pin is set up a few feet away from where he will be sleeping and immediately starts showing signs of discomfort. Kim brushes it off by insisting they will have to simply adjust to their new living arrangements. As the show progresses the girls enjoy a night out in New York and attend a ‘Welcome to New York’ event that Kris reluctantly attends. He starts to express more disinterest by asking, “How long will we be here?” He walks off the red carpet while taking pictures but smooths it out by apologizing to Kim by saying “I really do love you, sorry for being a jerk.”
STORY: Are Kim And Kris Getting Back Together?
Is he? Throughout the episode he appeared rude by yelling inappropriate things to the naked yogi instructor that Kourtney hired to relax the girls and tension in the house.
It was an interesting scene last night to watch a giant Kris accidentally step on Kim’s foot, ruining her pedicure which initiated war. Kim tightly locked her lips together, curled up her fingers into a ball and threw a deadly punch headed for Kris’ face. He caught her punch, forcing it to miss, landing on his shoulder. It is clear that these two might not have thoroughly thought out what they were getting themselves into. Kim complains that she doesn’t like anyone in her space, as someone that has been married before, perhaps it should be a given that everything becomes one when you become a wife.

Here are 10 things Kris Humphries did that screamed their marriage was doomed:
•He moves back to Minnesota despite that they are newlyweds.
•He comments on the naked yogi instructor’s ass that is male.
•He boldly expresses “I can’t live with two girls and a baby.”
•He shaves another man’s (Scott) armpits.
•He didn’t want to attend the ‘Welcome to New York’ event.
•He keeps their space messy with clothes, on purpose.
•Complains about Mason and has a hard time adjusting to being around a baby.
•He doesn’t want to sacrifice his career to be in New York (understandable).
•Complains about Kim not being ready on time when it was time to go to the event. (All men know women take forever)
•He is forceful and loose with his words, quick to call others names.
These two weren’t compromising much last night. They are two individuals who are deeply rooted and in love with their careers. Their schedules often clash and something had to give. There’s one thing that is for certain, happiness is key, if separation is what will eventually bring joy to Kim and Kris, then that is all that should matter.
