The evidence gets worse!

According to the the NY DailBeate News, an autopsy was released Wednesday of the Florida A&M University drum major, Robert Champion Jr., that shows he suffered from signficant muscle damage!

Orlanda law officials believe that Robert was beaten severly during a hazing incident. The practice of hazings is said to have been practiced in the famed “Marching 100” band for the pass 20 years.

Since the death has been brought to light, A&M University has fired the band’s director Julian White. Julian maintains that he had no involvement in the occurance and has stated that he reported the dangers of hazing to university administrators and was continually ignored.

Champion’s parents are taking legal action suing the University on grounds of the hazing incident.

The latest on Robert’s autopsy shows that he suffered from muscle damage equivalent to those who suffered from a car accident, torture or child abuse. The autopsy also reports that Champion had disturbing purple bruises on his back and chest as well as internal bleeding.

The criminal investigation is being taken on by the Orange County Sheriff’s Department and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement. A conviction of hazing results in a third-degree felony.

It’s really sad to know that Robert lost his life while suffering so much. Our condolences go out to his friends and family.
