40-year-old mother of three Donna Royers was shot to death by her ex-husband Mark Royer, 53, in a McDonalds parking lot yesterday.

According to the Denver Post, Donna notified authorities of Mark’s threatening behavior for months.
The couple’s divorce was finalized on September 28th of 2010.
A restraining order filed April 6th by Donna cited that Mark had been sending threatening emails and phone calls.

Mark went as far as stalking Donna and her boyfriend at a restaurant. Once the couple left the restaurant, Donna reported that Mark called her phone and said she was a “pathetic piece of sh*t.”
When Donna’s boyfriend picked up the phone, Mark told him his “mother would mourn the loss of her son,” and told him that he should “be watching over his shoulder, as it would happen unexpectedly…”
In addition to the phone calls, in her restraining order Donna reported that Mark had been sending some troubling emails in which he told her life would never be normal and “I had brought this on myself.”
It’s despicable that Mark responded to his divorce by leaving his children parentless!
