Last night Kendrick Lamar and Jay Rock, two of the West Coast’s hottest up and coming rappers, were in the studio with the Neptunes‘ Pharell, cooking up something magical — we hope.

Kendrick Lamar’s DJ, Ali, tweeted this little nugget out to his 6,000 plus followers:
He then posted the dope picture you see above of Pharrell working his keyboard, while Kendrick Lamar just listens.

Jay Rock wasn’t in the picture, but he did retweet an image that A-Mack, who’s affiliated with Top Dawg Music, the independent label home to both of the rappers, put up:

We knew the day where Kendrick Lamar and Pharrell would work together was coming for awhile now.
Pharrell is a big fan of the Compton-based rapper.
Back in the summer, right around the time when Kendrick Lamar’s street album, Section .80 dropped, this video of Pharrell in the studio praising that LP was leaked.
