Disneyland has changed its dress code a bit to satisfy its employees who may be interested in growing some facial hair!

STORY: How Charming! Disney Princes Cover Major Magazines

The LA Times reported that starting February 3rd, Disneyland employees will be allowed to grow beards so long as they aren’t longer than a quarter of an inch. However, visible tattoos, body piercing (except ears for women), and soul patches, “extreme” hairstyles or colors, and shaved heads for women are still forbidden!

Disney’s effort to maintain a clean-cut image has earned them the recognition as being the strictest corporation in regards to dress code.

Disney spokeswoman Betsy Sanchez spoke on the new policy change saying:

“Disney Look guidelines are periodically reviewed in relation to industry standards, as well as the unique environment of our theme parks and resorts… While we are careful to maintain our heritage and the integrity of our brand, a recent review of our guidelines led to a decision that an update was appropriate at this time.”

Sometimes change is necessary! We are glad Disney is moving one step closer to employee independence.
