It’s time to push aside the shelf full of Grammys and life time achievement awards and make room for one more!
Beyonce, recently named People magazine’s Most Beautiful Woman of 2012, is set to snag a writing award from the New York Association of Black Journalists on May 15th.

The award will be presented to Bey based on her July 2011 Essence Magazine cover story Eat, Play, Love, which chronicled her nine-month hiatus from the music business way back in 2010.

Throughout the piece, she reminisced on traveling with husband Jay-Z, discovering her love for artichokes, sailing the blue waters on yachts and going undercover as a Harajuku girl in Tokyo nightclubs.
Beyonce expressed how thankful for her time off, saying:
“I’m grateful for the time I gave myself to breathe.”
