Round one of our MC battle, which featured Pittsburgh pot-smoker Wiz Khalifa and ATL trap star 2 Chainz is over, and, ladies and gentlemen, you have chosen a winner: Getting 63 percent of the votes out there is hitmaker Wiz Khalifa. Congrats to our guy Wiz, but it’s now on to the next.
Round two of our competition features two of the hottest rappers in the street.
In corner number one, we have Meek Mill: The young Philly-based rapper is MMG’s most promising up-and-coming star. He blew up last year after he dropped his smash Rick Ross-assisted banger, “Ima Boss.” He currently has the attention of the Internet after he just released his DreamChaser 2 mixtape, the follow up to last year’s DreamChaser.
In corner number two, you have the Bronx bomber himself, French Montana. French has been grinding away in the streets for years, releasing truckloads of material on DVDs and mixtapes. All his grinding paid off. Last year his single “Shot Caller” blew up and Diddy signed the rapper to Bad Boy records. He is getting ready to put out his debut album, Pardon my French.
