What is it with Maroon 5 and break-up songs?
“Payphone,” Maroon 5’s Wiz Khalifa-assisted first single off of their forthcoming album, Overexposed, is an angry track dedicated to a chick who deaded the band’s lead singer, Adam Levine. On the track he sings “one more f*cking love song, I’ll be sick.”
On “Wipe Your Eyes,” a song that will be on the deluxe version of the album, Adam Levine is on the other side of the fence.

On the catchy track a remorseful Levine is trying to break up with the love of his life gently. Over a sped-up chipmunk sounding voice, sprinkling keys and loud rock-style drums, Levine sings:
“Hey, you, come over and let me embrace you. I know that I’m causing you pain, too. But remember if you need to cry, I’m here to wipe your eyes.”

Take notes, fellas. That’s how you break up with a girl!
Overexposed, Maroon 5’s fourth studio album, drops on June 26.
