Last night at the Democratic National Convention, U.S. Senate candidate Elizabeth Warren put Wall Street, corporate greed and multi-millionaire Republican nominee Mitt Romney on blast!

According to her, the CEOs responsible for the economic downturn with risky bets “still strut around Congress, no shame, demanding favors, and acting like we should thank them,” said the leftist champion.
The crowd egged her on as she continued to describe a government that favors the one percent and strategically painted Obama out to be a populist and Romney as a Wall Street crony:
“Mitt Romney wants to give billions in breaks to big corporations – but he and Paul Ryan would pulverize financial reform, voucher-ize Medicare, and vaporize Obamacare.”
“No, Governor Romney, corporations are not people. People have hearts, they have kids, they get jobs, they get sick, they cry, they dance. They live, they love, and they die. And that matters.”
In addition to addressing economic issues and Republicans’ longstanding ties with Wall Street crooks, she also quoted a Biblical scripture, mentioned her three brothers in the military, and her connections with small business owners.
For her first time at the DNC, Warren did a great job staying on message and rallying up the Democratic left base that adores her.
This won’t be the last we hear from Warren, especially if she wins the senate race in Massachusetts, so be on the look out!

Warren has been a longtime advocate for stronger bank regulation and accountability. In 2008, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid asked her to serve as head of the Congressional Oversight Panel, which was created to monitor the $700 billion bank bailout effort known as the Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP).
