I’m sorry, I didn’t realize this was the Honey Boo Boo election. But I’m glad America is finally listening to an overweight 7-year-old.
If there was ever a celebrity endorsement President Barack Obama didn’t need, it would be that of TLC reality star Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson. And I use the words celebrity and star loosely.
The sketti-eating reality star said that she’s putting her full support behind President Obama during an interview with late night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel.
How patriotic!
Any-who, Boo Boo said she’s supporting Obama because when Mitt Romney was asked whom he preferred, Snooks or Honey Boo Boo, he said Jersey Shore’s Snooki.
Probably the smartest thing Romney’s said this entire debate.
Boo Boo’s endorsement is pretty ironic considering that Michelle Obama would never condone the eating habits of the 7-year-old, nor her mother’s gluttonous encouragement towards her daughter.
Heading into tonight’s town hall debate, the subject of childhood obesity probably won’t be on the discussion floor, but when it comes to America’s newest star, it should be.
I don’t put much stock in celebrity endorsements; I don’t get my political info from Ted Nugent, Lindsay Lohan, Shyne, or Honey Boo Boo.
Every celebrity will be asked who they support because that’s the national conversation right now as the election is only a few weeks away, but what they say shouldn’t influence you as a voter.
As for Honey Boo Boo, as her star continues to rise and we watch and laugh at this obese little girl, let’s remember that someday, she’ll be able to vote.
Sketti and Honey Boo Boo are here to stay whether we like it or not. But let’s hope Obama’s term lasts longer than her 15 minutes of fame.

INGREDIENTS:
1 pound spaghetti, ketchup and butter
PREPARATION:
Prepare noodles according to package instructions. Set aside.
In bowl, combine:
1 part ketchup
1 part butter
Nuke in the microwave, stir and pour over noodles.
Presto! You’ve got Sketti!
