There’s going to be a new addition to the royal family sometime in the near future!
Kate Middleton and Prince William have been living in a Welsh cottage for the first year of their marriage, and they’re looking to move to a new apartment, one that could accommodate a growing family.
According to Us Weekly, the two have picked an apartment in London Kensington’s Palace that is currently undergoing a $1.5 million renovation.

An insider tells the magazine:
“Kate is keen to put her stamp on the place with things she’s bought on her travels. She felt certain pieces would be nice ‘when we have a bigger home.'”
Apparently the two want kids in the very near future, which is why they want to move:
“A baby is the main reason for the move.”
The source continued:
“They have been on such a high since getting married. It’s time for the next step — Kate is hoping she and William can become parents in 2013.”
“They want to bring a child up in a secure environment.” The level of protection at their rented cottage on the sleepy island of Anglesey, even with all their trips to the movies and down to the shop, “just isn’t enough.”

After being married for over a year, it does seem like the right time for these two to build a family. We can’t wait for the arrival of a royal baby!
