As we reported yesterday, Kate Middleton and Prince William are expecting their first child together!

The royal couple made the announcement a bit sooner than they wanted to, after the Duchess was rushed to the hospital with severe nausea for a rare condition that strikes only 2 percent of pregnant women.

DETAILS: Kate Middleton Is Expecting A Baby

The condition is so rare that it’s stirring up rumors that Kate might be having twins.

Radar Online reports:

Dr. Ashley Roman, of the at New York University Langone Medical Center, said that a study of the condition revealed women who are carrying twins held a 7.5 percent higher risk of experiencing hyperemesis gravidarum. In some cases with the condition, a female child was more likely, the network reported.

Roman said that the condition shouldn’t impact the baby’s health. She told the network that Kate’s symptoms — nausea and vomiting — are “traditionally thought [of as] a sign of a healthy pregnancy.”

The royal family seems to be overjoyed. The baby would push Prince Harry back in the line for the throne, as the heirs would be Prince Charles, Prince William, his kids, and then Prince Harry who is currently serving in the military after his nude mishap in Las Vegas. We have a feeling he doesn’t mind!
