The show revolves around four friends who band together against an anonymous enemy that threatens to reveal their darkest secrets. Of course, the plot gets a lot thicker, and with the close of the third summer season of the show behind us, and a new year season premiere right around the bend, this is the perfect time for Lucy to get her shine as NYLON Magazine’s cover girl.

The brunette beauty’s real life tales are a long way from those of her teenage character Aria, and so are her theories on the infamous A that’s ruining her high school life.

Check out some excerpts from the interview below:

On the relationships in her life:

“I’ve had to really put things in check and be, like, This is who I need in my life. I’m trying to weed out.[…]What’s the expression? ‘If it doesn’t better you or grow you or make you happy, why are you in the situation?’ Every relationship I’ve had, I’ve learned something good and positive. I’m 23. I’m a woman, but I’m not fully the person that I think I will be. We’re all just trying to figure it out. Some of us just have to do it publicly.”

On her upcoming music career and recording a country album:

“I’m learning [guitar] on a Baby Taylor – I have small hands! It’s going to be me. It’ll be raw. That’s definitely the joy of songwriting.”

On her own idea about how she’d like Pretty Little Liars to end:

“I want it to be a Bonnie and Clyde thing. Where Aria and Ezra are in it together. Or Spencer and Toby. But something romantic, [where] you root for them [even though] they’re the bad guys.”
