Rihanna is sexy, badass, talented, edgy, hilarious at times, and unpredictable most of the time.

These personal qualities, in addition to her snagging cover after cover of every relevant magazine around month after month, keep fans and critics drooling over her 24/7, 365 days a year.

Rihanna manages to maintain an image that is certainly intimidating to many women, who are just incapable of being as bad as she is, and to the majority of men, who just wouldn’t know what to say to her in any potential one-on-one situation.

RiRi does not seem like the type of young woman anyone questions too much, but if ever presented with the opportunity, I’ve got a genuine question for her:

What is it you’re looking for?

My curiosity was inspired when I noticed, like many others I’m sure, that the Bajan beauty loves to post inspiring biblical verses and cool, powerful messages on her personal Instagram.

These posts allow fans to get a glimpse of her depth, complicated mind, her core values, and what she believes in. But surprisingly, those beliefs don’t really coincide with her public image – the image everyone loves to hate. You know… the weed-smoking, sex-glorifying, raunchy, thug life-living, cunt-calling, too-hot-for-TV Rihanna.

“Bad Gal RiRi” seems to be just a part of a much deeper being, who’s learned some extremely tough lessons early on in life, who knows much more than we all think she does, but who also has a fixation with the slightly dangerous and unknown.

Who is that Rihanna that signed on Instagram, just before this Sunday night’s alcoholic “Black Out” session, to post the highlighted quote:

“If we are too busy to spend time with God, then we are just too busy, and we are asking for a disaster in our life.”

Who is the Rihanna that lets herself cry in front of us and tells us about the very fear that shakes her core in televised interviews? The RiRi with her guard down?

I’m not asking the Rihanna that usually reigns… I’m speaking directly to the one that influences those unusual but appreciated messages.

Why the deviation from your usual badass theme? We, the fans, would like to know.

Could it be Robyn? And if so, what is it that girl is in search of?
