If Jennifer Hudson has anyone to thank for her re-invention (aside from her own hard work and dedication, of course) it is Weight Watchers. And that’s exactly what she set out to do as she stepped out in New York City last night to celebrate the weight loss company’s 50th Anniversary.

While on the red carpet, the beauty spoke with Huffington Post about some of her accomplishments with weight loss and the most shocking part about her life’s change since she lost 80 pounds:
Becoming a role model. When people say, “I want to get my J. Hud on” or they want to go to the gym, and I’m the role model for what they want to look like. It’s like, really? How did that happen, to go from not being that person to being that person?
But she forgot to add in all the awesome clothes she gets to wear!
For the occasion, J. Hud took a style note from Kim Kardashian and donned a $1,095 Donna Karan Metallic Foldover Stretch Pencil Skirt that Kim was spotted wearing pre-baby bump in October.
Jennifer styled the statement piece with a black shirt and a pair of $995 Christian Louboutin Diptic Booties.
