Man, oh man, Chicago is an untapped land of fertile hungry MCs with crazy different styles. You have your Chief Keefs, your Chance The Rappers, the heavyweights like Yeezy BUT you also have Martin $ky. I know your thinking: “Please, not another rapper with a dollar sign in the moniker.” But this track “Polaroid” is worth your listen. It’s different yet unique and any music lover will appreciate.

Let’s stay in the windy city of Chicago where they’ve been celebrating March Madness with plenty of fouls and tecs that require no ref. My man King Louie has been consistent this month, releasing multiple tracks every week for his fans. This weeks leak “Thotty Things,” featuring Lil Durk and singer Leek, is by far the strongest and has that mainstream appeal.

New York’s rap scene is the land of many flavas right now. You have some MCs who carry the NYC hip-hop flag bearing their tradition NY fitted while others prefer to draw influences from the south. One crew to watch for that has a great mixture of many styles is B.I.C. and their latest offering “DopM.”

Congratz to Vado and his recent signing to DJ Khaled’s We The Best Music. Vado was somewhat overlooked as MC in some people’s eyes. The Harlem rapper still has his prime years as an MC ahead of him so look for his artistry to heat up in the hot summer months.
