Rick Santorum stopped by The Bill O’Reilly Factor yesterday, and he certainly stirred up some controversy when he made his statement on gay marriage.
Apparently the former presidential candidate believes that gay marriage discourages straight marriage amongst couples.

Bill started the discussion when he asked:
“Would we be discouraging heterosexual marriage by allowing gay marriage?”
Rick replied:
“Yeah, I believe we would.”
WHAT?!
Santorum then implied that fewer children being born would be the result of legalizing gay marriage in all states of the U.S:
“Because we’d be saying that marriage isn’t about children. And when we say that, then, of course, the consequences are you’re probably going to have less children. It’s happening as we see it. It’s already happening in America.”

He also included that he believes marriage is the union between a man and a woman “having children and furthering society has been diminished.”
