A man who was under investigation by the FBI for sending poisoned letters to the President and others has been arrested.

According to the Associated Press, a spokeswoman confirmed that Everett Dutschke was arrested earlier this morning for sending letters that contained ricin to the President, a Senator, and a judge.

While only one of three ricin-laced letters mailed this month to public officials made it, the site reports:

Charges in the case were initially filed against an Elvis impersonator but then dropped. Attention then turned to Dutschke, who has ties to the former suspect and the judge and senator. Earlier in the week, as investigators searched his primary residence in Tupelo, Dutschke had remarked to reporters, “I don’t know how much more of this I can take.”

Charges initially were filed last week against Paul Kevin Curtis, 45, the Elvis impersonator, but then dropped after authorities said they had discovered new information. Curtis’ lawyers say he was framed.

Curtis has said that he talked to Dutschke about publishing a book on conspiracy to sell body parts on the black market, but they had a feud shortly after.

Thankfully the right man has now been tracked down!
