Well, we know who we won’t be seeing on the Met Gala red carpet next year!
Gwyneth Paltrow might have put on a smile this year while posing at the Met Gala in NYC, but it got turned upside down once she got inside.
The 40-year-old actress told Us Weekly that she wasn’t a big fan of the glamorous event this year, and that she doesn’t plan to attend anymore.
She told the mag:
“Do you want me to be honest? It sucked. It seems like it’s the best thing in the world, you always think, ‘Oh my god, it’s gonna be so glamorous and amazing and you’re going to see all these people’ and then you get there and it’s so hot and it’s so crowded and everyone’s pushing you.”
She also explained how she felt about this year’s “Punk” theme and not being in the spirit of things:
“I think we’re all a bit old to dress up punk, I just went as kind of normal.”
She even revealed some pretty interesting information on Kanye West and how he behaved during his performance:
“Kanye West was playing and he was all furious and he threw his microphone down and it was all drama,” she complained of the “intense” evening. “I don’t know why.”
At least there was one thing she did enjoy from the evening.
Gwyneth got to meet Psy, the the Korean rapper who has dominated Youtube this year, and she got to live out her son’s dream:
“We’re at the Met Ball and our son is obsessed with [Psy]…so we went up and Chris was like, ‘Hello, I’m from the band Coldplay,’ but then Psy didn’t seem to know who he was. But then he put two and two together and he was really happy to meet Chris. And we said, ‘We’re so sorry to bother you, but could we have a picture for our children?'”
Well, maybe next year will change Gwyneth’s mind so she doesn’t miss out on any of the festivities! We’ll miss her on the carpet!
