The dramatic moment after two trains collided into each other in Bridgeport, Conn. was caught on tape by a group of shocked skaters who were hanging near the scene of the accident.
“Holy shit, the train just fucking crashed,” you can hear one of the skaters say over and over again.
The boys hesitate before going to examine the damage, but eventually follow the tracks to see the damaged cars… and the damaged tracks.
“Oh my god, these are not supposed to be like that, the fucking tracks are broken…this shit is way off course,” the same onlooker said.
As riders help others from the trains, another skater can be heard observing a lady whose bones are apparently visible.
“Her feet are broken, I know her feet are broken…”
About 72 people were injured with broken bones or lacerations. No fatalities were reported.
The derailment has knocked out train traffic between New York and New Haven (cutting New York off from Boston along that corridor as well) and service may not be restored for a few weeks.
