Boston bomber Tamerlan Tsarnaev’s friend, Ibrahim Todashev, is being remembered as a “tough” and sometimes violent kid by his friends and people who knew him.

This information comes just one day after the 27-year-old Russian was shot to death by police during questioning at an Orlando apartment, after he allegedly attacked an FBI agent with a knife.

The news about Todashev’s erratic behavior also comes as it was revealed that he and Tsarnaev were involved in an unsolved triple homicide in 2011.

According to fellow fighters at a mixed martial arts studio where he and Tsarnaev frequented, Todashev had talent, but also a bad temper.

“It wasn’t that he was a bad training partner or that he was a bad person around the gym. His only way to resolve a lot of
conflicts was violence,” a
former training partner told the Herald.

Another fighter named Jimmy Davidson, who fought Todashev in 2009, recalls Todashev walking to the cage to a Chechen song.

“I remember his warm-up music,” Davidson said. “He didn’t come out to a traditional song. It was some like cultural Chechen song. It was just kind of like bells. He was a tough kid, I remember that. He came out and he threw ax kicks and was kind of an unorthodox style.”

But, fellow fighters and friends never suspected that he would be involved in murder, just as friends of Tamerlan Tsarnaev and his brother Dhzokhar never took them for terrorists.

It’s unclear what kind of a relationship Todashev had with Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, who remains in federal custody awaiting trial. We’ll keep you updated on this bizarre case.
