Drake wants to peace things up with Chris Brown once and for all.

In a recent interview with GQ, Drake said:

“I don’t want my name to be synonymous with that guy’s name. I really don’t. I wish we could sit down, just like you and me are right now, and talk it out man-to-man. But that’s not going to happen. I’m not confrontational, but if someone challenges, I’m not going to back down. …It’s embarrassing, the amount of media coverage. Two rappers fighting over the woman. He’s not even a rapper, but still, it’s the last way you want your name out there. It distracts from the music.”

It’s cool of Drizzy to take the high road, but what would really happen if these two met face-to-face?

Since GlobalGrind is all about keeping the peace, we thought of ten things that would need to take place before Drake and Chris Brown are able to have their chat by the fireside.

OK, fire probably shouldn’t be involved, but you know what we mean.

1. Chris would need to get over Rihanna. As long as Breezy’s emotions are involved, there’s no way a good outcome can come from their talk. Until that happens, a Chris/Drake meeting would look something like this:

2. No glass bottles within 20 feet. For obvious reasons…

3. The guys would need a mediator, someone well respected enough to be able to set the sit-down up, and feared enough that neither one of them will try anything stupid.

4. Their record sales would have to be very similar at the time of the talk. Let’s not kid ourselves, pride is a heavy factor here.

5. Aaliyah’s music must be played in the background. These two respect the legacy of the A-a-l-i-y-a-h too much to tarnish it by fighting while her music is blaring.

6. It should be private. While it might be tempting to go big and have the discussion on TV or for charity, this is ultimately between them. No photo ops.

7. Let them fight. While we want to keep the peace, sometimes you need to exchange punches before you can get there. So put on the gloves and box it out like Rock ‘Em Sock ‘Em Robots.

8. Make a pros and cons list. Lists work. Once they get their differences out on the table, the guys should be able to tackle them once and for all.

9. Have some sort of competition. It couldn’t be a quiz on Canada, or a dance contest though.

10. Face the facts. Unless these things happen, Drake and Chris will constantly be dodging each other. And we all know they run in circles too close to keep it up forever.
