UPDATE 12:15 EST

According to Reuters, the Ecuadorean ambassador to Moscow has arrived at the airport’s hotel.

He is telling journalists that he was expecting to meet Edward Snowden. The Guardian says that the ambassador is confused on the matter asking, “Do you know where he is?” “We thought you did?”.

The hunt for Edward Snowden has taken a dramatic turn Sunday as the man now wanted on U.S. espionage charges fled Hong Kong and just reportedly arrived in Russia.

WikiLeaks said in a Twitter post Sunday that Snowden had touched down in Moscow but the organization, which facilitates the publication of classified information, did not disclose what country would be his Snowden’s final stop.

An official says:

“Snowden doesn’t have a Russian visa and he can’t get outside the transit area of the airport. Even if there is an Interpol warrant for his arrest, of which we are not aware, our law enforcement agencies won’t be able to do that in the transit area.”

But other reports say Snowden will be soon heading to Cuba.  The official says the next flight to Havana is Monday afternoon so Snowden most likely will spend his time in the transit zone of Moscow Sheremetyevo airport.

This sh*t cray!
