An uplifting musical and a tale of 15-year-old rivalry and romance?

Seems like November is going to be a sinfully soulful month.

On the BET Awards 2013 show last night, the network presented trailers for upcoming movies, including the highly anticipated Best Man Holiday and Black Nativity.

Best Man Holiday is the sequel of the classic 1999 movie Best Man, which is probably on everybody’s ‘Top Ten ’90s Movies List.’

The old gang is back! Taye Diggs, Nia Long, Morris Chestnut, Harold Perrineau, Terrence Howard, Sanaa Lathan, Monica Calhoun, Melissa De Sousa and Regina Hall connect for the holidays and nothing has changed.

While there will be lots of hijinks in Best Man, Black Nativity is a reminder to never lose faith nor hope in times of trouble. In time for the Christmas season, Black Nativity is a modern day tale of the birth of Jesus Christ. Jacob Latimore‘s character is sent to stay with his grandparents (Forest Whitaker and Angela Basset) while his mom (Jennifer Hudson) struggles on hard times. Loving the streets, Latimore is guided by an angel (Mary J. Blige) who helps him see the spirit of the season. Based on Langston Hughes’ play, this is a must-see.

Check out the Best Man Holiday trailer above, and the Black Nativity clip below.

Best Man Holiday premieres November 15 and Black Nativity is premiering November 27.
