It’s almost been a year since one of Trayvon Martin’s best friends, Rachel Jeantel, took the stand to tell his side of the story regarding the fateful night his life was taken by George Zimmerman, the neighborhood watchman who was later found not guilty in the 2012 killing of the 17-year-old.
Despite having to deal with that tragedy, America’s criticism of her testimony, and losing her best friend, Ms. Jeantel has stayed focused and has some great news – she graduated high school!
Attorney Benjamin Crump shared the above photo, with the special message:
Congratulations Rachel Jeantel on your high school graduation. We are proud of you! #TrayvonMartin pic.twitter.com/Ulj50CmnMJ

Last year Ms. Jeantel put on a brave face and took on America as a 19-year -old girl, so there’s no telling what the Miami native will achieve as she continues to transition into adulthood.
Way to show ’em girl! We wish you nothing but success in your future endeavors. Check out the photo above and join us in wishing her a huge congratulations.
