rap and hip hop has just lots its luster. back in the day young cats were spitting game talking bout real life and the triumphs over hard times, nowa days all we get is rappers or ‘hip-hop artists’ talking bout there swag there girl or the money rap has lost its emotional affect ion the people. in the 80’s there was Run-DMC rapping bout life and just having good times then NWA invented gangsta rap and spit some hardcore game that gots people out they seats, the 90’s had Wu-Tang Clan with some of the greatest lyricsits of all time we has GZA,RZA,ODB,Ghostface Killah, Method Man, Raekwon the chef, U-God, Masta Killa and Inspectah Deck. Those men were Emcees, along with Rakim KRS-One Nas B.I.G Pac DRe all these could spit something mean. now we have rappers who just sell them selves out for the paper. Diddy said it himself ‘Dont chase the paper chase the dream’. Wezzy at first could spit something fierce then he just cared about the money and now is raps biggest sellout, Drake is a great artist and is something special but if he continues hell evenntually sell out and up like his mentor. now i aint taaking nothing away from wezzy hes a hell of a rapper but hes a sellout and thats all rap is today a SELLOUT i mean wtf is Nicki Minaj yea shes beautiful but cmon shes a joke she aint no MC Lyte or Lil Kim not even close. we need Emcees to rise up and take over the dying rap game cause its bnot even relatable anymore and its just a bunch of BS
