Oh, Mark Ronson, you clever, underrated, musical stylist, you. First you’re a DJ to the stars, then you’re a savvy producer who helms classic albums like Amy Winehouse’s Back To Black, then you put the masses on to Wale. But now you have another, new, refreshing thing to make us listen to music in a slightly different way.
Who is this new group you’re working with, Mark? We know they’re called The Business Intl, and we appreciate the first song we’re hearing, ‘Bang, Bang, Bang’ because it’s retro and futuristic all at the same time, like Andre 3000’s ‘Hey Ya!’ once was. Oh, and we also give you props on adding your good friend Q-Tip in here, thus making the song accessible for wary hip-hop heads who recognize your cred but are indifferent towards your experimentation. But we need to hear more, preferrably before your third album, Record Collection (which ‘Bang Bang Bang’ is featured on) hits iTunes and store shelves. We trust you, Mark. You have yet to let us down, but The Business Intl needs at least one more song before we can committ to Record Collection. In the meantime, we’ll be over here, playing ‘Bang Bang Bang’ on repeat.
