What’s happening!!! It’s your boy Bow Wow here live and direct from Washington D.C.
I wanted to check in with everyone and give y’all first hand insight into my crazy week during this historic inauguration. First let me say that I’m so proud and humbled to be taking part in these activities and events for president-elect Obama. This was the first presidential election I’ve been old enough to vote in and has really opened me up to another side of life that I had never seen before.
So I rolled into DC early Saturday afternoon…and yes I said ‘rolled’…me, my manager Michael Mauldin and some of my close friends all hopped on my tour bus for the trip. Before I could even get settled, it was time for my first event. It was a round table discussion for several hundred youth about music and politics. There were alot of older industry people on the panel and I was really the only person and artist there that was speaking for the youth. It’s crazy b/c I never really pictured myself having political discussions like that, but here I am and I’m really enjoying myself.
Right now, I’m on my way to the Verizon Center to perform for the Kids Inaugural concert along with Miley Cyrus and the Jonas Brothers. We were all up so late last night going through rehearsals, but its going to be great. This is a HUGE event that’s being hosted by Mrs. Obama and Biden along with their families. It’s airing live on the Disney channel tonight at 8pm est…so make sure you tune in and cheer ya boy on!
And right now there telling me I have to call into a radio station for an interview so I’mma have to go now, but I’ll check back in with y’all tomorrow.
