Nicki Minaj has made history as the first female artist to be named on the MTV Hottest MC list. She definitely exploded onto the music scene with an original sound, creative lyrics, and an even more unique style. Nicki’s debut album Pink Friday is highly anticipated and will be released November 23rd.
The rap princess ranked #6 on MTV’s list, landing ahead of Lil’ Wayne, Wacka Flocka Flame, B.O.B., and Ludacris (Listed 7-10). MTV News’ Shaheem Reid said he was most proud of Minaj, “She showed that not only is she the most talented female right now, she’s one of the most talented rappers.” The remainder of the show will air on Sunday on MTV2 at 1:30p.m.
