The male half of the cast of MTV’s surprise hit, Jersey Shore is appearing on the cover of Village Voice’s Queer Issue. Pauly D is missing, but Vinny Guadagnino, Ronnie Oritz and The Situation are all shirtless and oiled up for their spread.
Although the show received mixed reactions from viewers in the beginning (some members of the Italian-American community were highly upset) it managed to be a success. Members of the Jersey Shore cast have appeared on a number of talk shows, and it got picked up for a second season, which will start next month.
The Situation commented on his success as a reality TV star, saying, “I have no control over what other people do. All I can control is, you know, I’m The Situation – the leader of the group. I’m the best at being me.”
