On one of the coldest nights in Miami in over a decade, the city’s skateboarding and art communities converged at AE District in celebration of Ian O’Connor’s photographic exploits and magazine release, The MIA Program. A multi-generational turnout of Miami skateboarders, friends, and family came through to show love and appreciate an impressive body of work that exemplifies the Miami flavor that keeps us in this city year round, through the hellish humidity and occasional hurricane. I want to personally congratulate Ian on putting together a show that beautifully captured the best, worst, and most interesting sides of a city that we all perpetually complain about, yet still choose to call home. Continue to keep your eyes peeled. Our city is better off for it.
