His days as President Obama’s Press Secretary came to end, so what’s next for Robert Gibbs? Reports are swirling that Gibbs will be joining the Facebook family as their manager of communications.

That could be a super good look for Gibbs, Facebook isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. With a value estimated at $85 billion, Gibbs jumping on the Mark Zuckerberg ship wouldn’t be a bad thing. Certainly Gibbs held his own as the mouthpiece for the White House, but can he really run Facebook? Or can any other political figure leave their position and jump to running some of our most popular sites?

GlobalGrind imagined what it would be like if some of our most famous political figures ran some of our most popular companies. Check out our list on the next page!

Michelle Obama Runs J. Crew

J. Crew reported record profit gains in 2009 thanks to the First Lady. The retailer earned $43.9 million in the quarter that ended Oct. 31. That compares with $19 million a year earlier. It didn’t hurt that one of the most famous women in the world has publicly worn J. Crew, garnering the company buzz that money can’t buy.

Michael Steele Runs Black Planet

After being ousted as the Chairman of the Republican National Committee (RCN), Steele should start over and put his focus on the young people. Who knows, maybe it’ll be better running Black Planet instead of the Republican party!

Sarah Palin Runs Buzzfeed

It’s quirky, has the craziest content and makes fun of everybody. Buzzfeed would be a great home for Sarah Palin.

Michele Bachmann Runs Gawker

She definitely has the eyes to run a site called Gawker.

Sorry Sen. McCain but you are up there in age, retire now and go run AARP, they need a new, fresh young face.
