The-Dream has always named R. Kelly as one of his main infuences. That influence is present thoughout his three albums, from vocal style to his lyrics. His second record Love Vs. Money even has a song dedicated to R. Kelly’s debut album (the epic ‘Kelly’s 12 Play’). So R. Kelly hopping on the remix to ‘Veteran,’ a bonus track from Dream’s recently released Love King album, is a natural fit. The track sounds like a classic, grown & sexy Kells stepping joint, and wouldn’t sound out of place on Chocolate Factory or Happy People. The-Dream and Kells have previously collarated on the epic slow jam ‘Pregnant,’ which also featured Tyrese and Robin Thicke.
