Sorry I’ve been a little absent. Mama has be doing the Hollywood Grind. Thank you for the feedback on my Single Mommy blog. I promise to get back with every single one of you.

SO, I decided to have a last minute Easter egg hunt at my house. I’ve learned the importance of creating special childhood moments for my son and his friends. In these times when money is tight for everyone it’s so easy to get caught up in negative thinking. It takes very little to bring people together and share good times. A child should always laugh. Mommies take the time to share a laugh with your babies.

I went to the 99 cent store and got tons of plastic Easter eggs, baskets, grass and candy. I spent $35.00. I was shocked!!!! I can’t remember the last time I went into any store and spent $35.00. I asked all my friends to bring a dozed of boiled eggs and a bottle of wine for the grown-ups. We had a ball!!! The kids swam, decorated and hunted for eggs. All of my girls can cook! We threw some fish on the grill and made it happen.

It takes a village to raise a child. Get together with the people you love and let the kids run wild. Keep it simple. Cheap fun creates life long memories. Oh yeah, don’t think I didn’t put a dyed egg in my sons lunch box the next day. (WINK)
