Being a new artist, we’d like to introduce ourselves to you guys; we’re Kristy and Lindsey Landers, of the band, Official Hot Mess. We’re so excited to be a part of GlobalGrind and to have the opportunity to share a little bit of our lives with you.

Although we were born in Los Angeles, when we were little kids, our parents moved us as far away from Hollywood as we could get, and sent us to a school for the ‘academically gifted’ to keep us away from the entertainment industry…that worked well…Not, lol!

We wrote our first song when we were really little kids on a PBS children’s television show and haven’t stopped writing and creating music since!  During highschool, we put our music on the internet and got offered a deal with a record label in Asia. That album became really successful and we even got to tour Asia!–Now we’re looking forward to bringing our music to the US! 🙂

We call ourselves  Official Hot Mess because it seems as though mischief and trouble always have a way of finding us!…like the time we thought we were on a flight to LA and ended up in Puerto Rico…or the time my spike heel got caught on Lindsey’s pants and I accidentally pantsed her on stage! Haha!

Official Hot Mess consists of: Kristy (the swashbuckler)- Vocals/Bass, Lindsey (the mastermind)- Vocals/Guitar

Supported by: Adam (the exhibitionist)- Guitar, Joe (the jokester)- Drums Billy (the brunt of Joe’s joksterness)- Bass, Jake (the one with the sick hair!)-Guitar

Anyway, this past week has been a whirlwind for all of us! Our music video for our song, “Welcome 2 LA” just premiered on MTV and MTVU which was totally exciting for us. Check it out!

We did an awesome photoshoot for the NoH8 Campaign (pics coming soon!).

Had a meeting with PETA (we’re major animal activists and have been vegetarians since birth).

And to top it all off, we headlined at the Playboy Mansion’s annual Stars and Stripes charity event (benefiting The Wounded Warrior Project, a charity that is close to our hearts). Our show went great, the party was a blast and the best part of the night was getting to hang out with our good friend, Hef, whom we love, respect and admire.

After all of that, we took the red-eye back home (to FL) last night.

Current feeling: sleep deprived

Thought of the day: “Let us be grateful to people who makes us happy, they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom.”
