Jessie J is getting ready for her first ever performance on American television. The British sensation will be introduced to the general public when she performs on “Saturday Night Live” this weekend with host Zach Galifiankis. GlobalGrind had the opportunity to speak with Jessie during rehearsals for the show and we asked the always confident and stunning Jessie whether she was nervous. Plus she spills the details about the performance: collaborator on “Price Tag,” B.o.B. will be joining her onstage!
“B.o.B. is so cool and has the charisma of a thousand charismatic people,” Jessie told GG. “He is like the funnest guy to hang out with. We’re actually doing ‘SNL’ together so I’m super excited because we’ve never performed together apart from the video. It’s going to be good.”
Jessie is also a fan of host and “The Hangover” actor Zach Galifanakis. “The band sound incredible and Zach Galifanakis is very, very cool and very funny and he had me in stitches today. I think it’s going to be fun, it’s a big deal for me,” she said. “We had to do a dress run today and the band were all in their comfy clothes and then there’s me, in my six inch heels and leotard, I was like ‘hey.'” It’s going to be a big moment for me.”
Jessie always seems so sure of herself but she admitted she will probably be nervous. “I was blown away by the band and as I keep saying to people, I think a good vocal and a good song in a good performance is always the best thing. That’s hopefully what i’m going to try and give,” she said, “I think there’s a lot of people that know me in the U.S. but there’s obviously millions of people who don’t, so they are the people I’m going to be introducing myself to.
